Charlotte Trolley: 2004—06

Description

These pictures show Charlotte Trolley service during the period from 28 June 2004, when the route was extended northward through uptown Charlotte to Ninth Street and electrified operation began, to 6 February 2006, when service was suspended so that the track and stations could be rebuilt for the LYNX Blue Line light rail.

Car #1976 was a temporary visitor, a replica open-bench car leased from Gomaco Trolley Company during summer and fall 2004 to supplement the original car #85 while replica cars #91-93 were being built.
