Congressional Sites:
- The Senate. This site is designed to
present general information on the U.S. Senate offices. For more extensive
information about Senate legislative activities, please check the THOMAS
website.
- The House of Representatives. Public
access to legislative information as well as information about members,
committees, and organizations of the House.
- The
Government Accounting Office. Established in 1921, the General
Accounting Office is the investigative arm of Congress. Charged with
examining matters relating to the receipt and disbursement of public funds,
GAO performs audits and evaluations of Government programs and activities.
- The
Congressional Budget Office. Created in 1974, CBO's mission is to
provide the Congress with objective, timely, nonpartisan analyses needed
for economic and budget decisions and with the information and estimates
required for the Congressional budget process.

- THOMAS. Legislative information on the
Internet. This is a service of the US Congress, in association with the
Library of Congress.
- Congressional Quarterly.
"Non-Partisan" reporting and analysis on the Congress.
- Roll Call. More research and analysis
on the inner workings of the Congress.
- The
Federal Election Commission. Information and guidelines on the conduct
and financing of congressional campaigns.
- Project Vote Smart.
This is a national non-partisan, non-profit research effort which tracks
and provides factual information on over 13,000 candidates and elected
officials. Voting records, campaign issue positions, performance evaluations
by special interests, campaign contributions, backgrounds, previous
experience, and contact information are available at this site.
