This fall students participated in 1074 conferences in approximately 565 hours. Of the 351 individuals who came for writing conferences, 222 were freshmen, 53 sophomores, 42 juniors, and 31 seniors, 2 students from Korea and 1 a graduate of PC. Students brought papers written for 62 classes taught by 34 faculty members in 11 departments. Students came from 8 different history classes, 4 psychology classes, and 5 classes in the Education Department.
Although we had a few more total conferences in the fall of 1999, the higher hours reflect the fact that we are seeing many students with long papers who need more than a half-hour conference.
