A look at the present facilities

The Presbyterian College biology department occupies the entire second floor of Richardson Science Hall and has a new "Electron Microscopy Center" occupying approximately 1,000 square feet of space in the basement of Georgia Hall. In addition to lecture halls and laboratories, you'll find sophisticated equipment needed for research and teaching.

PC is one of the only small colleges with four electron microscopes, as well as a multi-port microscope, which allows as many as five students to view the same object simultaneously. The department now has four electron microscopes; two JEOL (scanning electron microscope), a newly acquired Zeiss Transmitting Electron Microscope with 300,000-times magnification, and a newly acquired ETEC scanning microscope, which allows for 360-degree rotation of larger specimens.
