Put simply, Rush is the process that fraternities & sororities use to recruit new members. The ultimate purpose of Rush is to meet new people and choose a chapter that you feel comfortable joining. Rush allows you to realize all the advantages of Greek life. We would like to urge you to seriously consider the prospects of rushing Alpha Sigma Phi. How do you know if Alpha Sigma Phi is right for you? First, learn about who we are. Beyond that, the easiest way to learn about us is to to come visit and get to know us for yourself. Rushees, that's you, are always welcome.
Involvement
Contrary to what many people think, getting ahead in college is not just eighty hours of studying each week and a high GPA. Job recruiters look for more than just brains. Your ability to lead, interact and manage time are critical skills in today's job market. Alpha Sigma Phi offers positions that will allow you to develop and refine these skills.
Social Interaction
One of the most enjoyable and identifiable aspects of life at Alpha Sigma Phi is the social life. We regularly hold formal dances, exchanges with sororities, informal parties, theme parties and other outdoor activities. This gives us a welcome relief from our academic studies. These events also help to build and maintain meaningful and personal relationships. Even more importantly, we are able to learn the social graces which will benefit us for years to come.
Athletics
One of the things we strive for here at Alpha Sigma Phi is the promotion of a well rounded college experience for each of our members. We feel that athletics can be a healthy and enjoyable part of this. Our members are involved each season in a variety of different sports from lacrosse, to football, to ultimate Frisbee. There is plenty of room for everyone to get involved in what we think is a fun and competitive athletic program. Alpha Sigma Phi continually makes excellent showings with it's intramural teams.
