Atlanta, Georgia: MARTA Northeast Line

Description

The Northeast Line separates from the North Line a short distance north of Lindbergh Center, and runs about 8.1 miles from Lindbergh Center to Doraville, just inside the I-285 Perimeter expressway. Until 1996 it was designated as part of the North Line, and was renamed when the section of the North Line through Buckhead to Dunwoody opened. Most of the Northeast Line runs alongside or near the Norfolk Southern main line to Charlotte and Washington DC, which has a yard at Doraville.
